Melo came into our lives when she was only three months old, flying all the way from Busan, South Korea, to her new home in New York City.
She was tiny, scared, and unsure of everything around her. But with time, patience, and lots of love, her true personality began to appear—sweet, affectionate, playful, a little sassy, and surprisingly opinionated.
The little things that make her Melo
Melo loves SWEET POTATOES, Central Park Walks, sitting in her favorite living room spot, and curling up on anything that smells like us.
Every night, she completes a security check around the house, cuddles with us, and then heads to her own bed. When she wants to play, she brings us one of her plushie toys as if playtime has officially been scheduled.
These little routines may seem ordinary, but to us, they are the moments that make Melo so special.
What Melo means to us
Melo is more than our dog. She is our baby, our family, and one of the greatest sources of happiness in our lives.
Life with her has taught us to appreciate the smallest moments: a familiar routine, a funny expression, a quiet cuddle, or the excitement she feels over one tiny piece of sweet potato.
We know our time with her is precious, and that is something we never want to take for granted.
Why Melo Says Hello began
Melo Says Hello began as something deeply personal.
We wanted to capture Melo’s personality and preserve the little memories we share with her—the way she looks at us, the funny things we imagine she is thinking, and all the everyday moments we never want to forget.
It became a place we could return to someday and still feel close to every version of Melo. At its heart, this has always been our love letter to her.
Something we never expected
What we never expected was how many people would find Melo and grow to love her too.
Seeing her make someone smile, brighten a difficult day, or bring a small moment of comfort has been incredibly heartwarming. The messages, comments, and love people share with Melo remind us that joy can come from the smallest places—even a tiny bichon with very big opinions.
That is what keeps us going now. We hope Melo can continue bringing a little happiness, comfort, and pawsitivity to anyone who needs it.
Why we opened the shop
The shop was created because so many of you asked for a little piece of Melo to call your own.
We are incredibly grateful for that love and support. This has never been only about selling products. We want every item to feel like an extension of Melo’s world—something playful, comforting, and capable of bringing a little Melo energy into your day.
Our mission is the same as it has always been: to spread joy and help people smile.
